Let’s Try Water-Mixable Oil Painting at Salem Artspace!

Whether you are new to water-mixable oils and you just want to “Try it” or you already know the exciting experience of using them, this workshop will guide you from using the paint, choosing colors & mediums, surfaces and brushes along with setting up a painting from a blank canvas to color mixing, value and composition. We will spend the day with a demo and some light exercises to warm up and move on to creating a 9 x 12 painting. Bring a lunch or you can order from the pizza restaurant downstairs. For this Try It workshop all materials are provided but students also receive a materials list with links where to buy if you want to continue painting in oils. Follow up class time will be scheduled going forward for those wanting to continue. Come join the fun of oil painting!
